love all… too high!

somehow this court is a blessing of mine
my heart beats loudly along with the claps of supporters is truly a sign
about something deep that i will never let you hear nor define

i low-key love the rubber game
more moments of crowds chanting our name
more time for us to claim

this court shines in green
a friend of ours since we were eighteen
and today the umpire declares we reach the twenty-one twice and win
family at home cheering since we are on the tv screen

you come to me and i open my arm
to the hug that i will always welcome

they give us two bouquets of flower that is nothing compared to you
a person i will never pursue

my hand on your neck, yours in mine, and the two gold medals cling
this highest podium is our throne and we are the king
put the nation’s flag on our shoulders just like a wing
i look at you but the camera flashes so i blink

the embedded feathers once fly,
we use our rackets to say goodbye
now i am no longer your pair,
i accept the fact in despair
